immediate responsibility for cargo operations (as per IMO STCW Reg V/1) gain a thorough understanding of safe, pollution-free handling and transportation and to enable them to supervise and train other personnel in operational procedures To provide Masters, Chief Engineers, Chief Mates, Second Engineer Officers and any person with immediate responsibility for loading, discharging and care in transit or handling cargo with the ability to comply with requirements of Section A-V/1, Para 2-7, 9-14, and 16-21, STCW78 as amended, by providing the theoretical and practical knowledge of subjects participants who satisfactorily complete the course and provide documentary evidence to satisfy the course pre-requisite AMC Search markets and administers short courses on behalf of AMC which retains academic control of all courses AMC’s mandatory short courses meet the requirements of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) and comply with the International Maritime Organisation’s STCW78 Code as amended AMC Search short courses not qualify participants for the issue of Units of Competency under the Maritime Training Package Should further training be undertaken within the Maritime
