letter of application.
3.
The more difficult unit is the eight one. Not only having a quite number of
technical words, it also contents many economic and commercial knowledge that
students could hardly comprehend unless they have certain level of understanding.
Though the grammar is still quite simple , there is an considerable amount of
things to remember such as new phrases and structures beside new words. The
amount of facts and figures in this unit is also a problem for learners.
4.
What students can gain from this course is really useful, not only for their daily
life but their jobs as well. Post-graduation may be an epitomize. Getting
permeation requires both personal experience and certificates in fields like
management or law. Improving shills of specialty is also a reason why in-service
training is more than needed. The book provides some essential information about
it, such as starting a course, asking for sponsorship or trivial things about colleges.
Transportation is also a matter involves a let in student’s work, especially for the
people who usually travel. What are presented in the course could be helpful for
them when using train, air plane or booking a hotel.
However, helping learners get used to with an English environment must be
the most necessary thing this course brings. Names of office equipments and
furniture’s; the list of office staffs and the work of each position; activities of a
company and kind of document…If learners intend to have a place in an
international corporation, where English is mostly used, then there is no way they
could work effectively if they have no idea about those things. Not being amazed
and quickly adapting with new working conditions are compulsory abilities for
employees in this era.
5.
In order to increase the efficiency of the course, there are something should be
done. Firstly, lectures should give more actual example than those in the book
since lots of them are out-dated. This method also helps student understand the
lesson easer and farter. Vocabulary is the next problem that should be taken care.
The book should let learners try to guess the meaning of new words instead of
explaining them right away. Besides, lectures should show students how to use
those words as well as how to find out the meaning without using dictionary. That
thing is very useful for student’s self study. Grammar is also a matter should be
taken into consideration. The book only gives simple and basic structures, so
lectures should provide something more advanced. Documents in the real life are
actually more complicated than what are presented in the course and students can
hardly comprehend them only with knowledge extracted from the book. Moreover,
grammar is an important and necessary factor to develop the writing skill.
