Complete Survey Questions and Instructions
Dear participant,
This study examines perceptions of the sexual activities that a woman
can participate in. Sexual activities included in this study are
french-kissing, oral sex, penile-vaginal intercourse and digital sex
[finger penetration]. Specifically, the study examines how risky [in
terms of sexual consequences] and how okay these sexual activities
are perceived to be.
There are 4 sections in this survey.
The 1st section:
In this section, you will be asked to report your beliefs on
heterosexual and homosexual women and on sexually transmitted
infections.
The 2nd section:
In this section, you will be asked about your general perceptions of
how risky and how okay certain sexual activities are under certain
conditions.
The 3rd section:
In this section, you will be asked about more specific perceptions of
how risky and how okay specific sexual activities are under certain
conditions [more explanation will be provided within the section].
The 4th section:
You will be asked to report some information about yourself.
All your responses are strictly confidential, Please do not provide
your name or any other identifiable information, so that anonymity is
assured. At any time, you have the right to withdraw from this study
without penalty. If you withdraw, your responses will be discarded
and will not be used for analysis.
This study solicits your perceptions and there are no right and wrong
answers. Your honest responses are valuable in understanding
perceptions of various sexual activities and the different conditions
that might influence of such perceptions.

woman (called the target woman) can have with a man or with another

sexual activities that a woman can have.

Giving oral sex- oral stimulation of another woman’s vagina by the
target woman
Receiving oral sex- oral stimulation of the target woman’s vagina by
another woman
French kissing- kissing involving the tongue and lips

Receiving oral sex- oral stimulation of the target woman’s vagina by
the man
Penile-vagina intercourse- penetration of the target woman’s vagina
