Paper three: SPEAKING – Topic No.1 Instructions: Part 1: The examiner asks the candidate about him/herself, his/her home, family, work or studies or other familiar topics. Part 2: The examiner asks the candidate to talk about one topic. Part 3: The examiner and the candidate discuss a few more questions related to the topic in Part 2. The examiner is free to use any of the questions suggested or use their own as long as they are related to the topic in Part 2. Part 1: Interview 1. What’s your name, please? 2. Where were you born? 3. Could you tell me something about your hometown? 4. How often you go back to your hometown? 5. Are there any changes you have seen your hometown? What are they? Part 2: Long turn Ask the candidate to talk about the topic he/she has chosen. Describe a memorable holiday that you had You should say: • Where it was • When you had it • Who you had it with And say what you felt after you had it. Part 3: Two-way discussion 1. Why you think people need holidays? 2. Where people in your country often go to for their holidays? 3. What are some of the best places in your country for a tourist to visit? 4.
