Clauses and phrases of reason: Because/ Since/As + Clause ( S+V ) Because of/ Due to/ Thanks to + Phrase ( N phrase/ V-ing phrase ) B. Clauses and phrases of concession: Although/ Though/ Even though + Clause ( S+V ) In spite of/ Despite + Phrase ( N phrase/ V-ing phrase )  Exercise: Rewrite these sentences: 1.
