SPECIAL EDUCATION Lesson 5: Language Focus A. Aims: 1. Objectives: *Knowledge: - Pronunciation: / ɔ / and /ɔ:/ - The + adjective. - Used to + infinitive. - Which as a connector *Skills: - Speaking:Work in pairs /groups to discuss and do the exercises. - Reading: Read words and sentences aloud. By the end of the lesson, students can: - distinguish the sound / ɔ / from the sound /ɔ:/ and pronounce them correctly. - use " the + adjective" as a noun, review "used to + infinitive" and combine two sentences with "which". 2. Teaching aids: chalks, textbooks, subboards, whiteboard markers, and projector. B. Procedures: Teacher's activities T Students' activities 1. Organization: Good morning! How are you today? 1 -Greeting 2. Checking up / Warm up. *Warm-up: “Kim’s game". - Give some words: wrong, sport, doctor, talk, box, top, walking, boss, four, call, job, more. - Ask Ss to remember the words in 15 seconds. - Divide Ss into 2 teams. - Call Ss from 2 teams to rewrite the words on bb in 1 minute. - check and find the winner. 3-5 - Look at words on b.b - Remember words. - Rewrite the words on bb in 2 teams. -remark 3. New lesson 35 I. Pronunciation 8 1. The short need to play sports. - Ask Ss to guess the meaning of the underlined words. - Explain " the + adj" to describe a group of people. - Give form and note: - Listen - Guess the meaning of the underlined words - Copy Notes: Chỉ một nhóm người có cùng một đặc tính nào đó theo nghĩa chung của tính từ. Use: Cấu trúc trên dùng để diễn tả 1 thói quen hay 1 trạng thái nào đó trong quá khứ mà nay không còn nữa. This is good news  Mai passed the exam, which is good news. - Give form and notes: Form: S + V , which + V Notes: + " Which"- " điều đó ", được dùng làm từ nối 2 mệnh đề. + " Which " dùng thay cho ý đã được đề cập trước nó. + " which " luôn đóng vai trò làm chủ ngữ ở mệnh đề 2 và giữa 2 mệnh đề phải có dấu phẩy. - Give Ex 3 and ask Ss to do. - Feed back. 1- e.
