By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - develop such listening micro-skills as intensive listening for specific information and taking notes while listening. II. Teaching aids. - Textbooks, pictures. III. Anticipated problem. - Ss may not have sufficient vocabulary to talk about the topic, so T should be ready to assist them. Ss may not also be familiar with the note-taking task so T should provide them some tips to deal with the task. IV. Procedures. Time Steps Work arrangement 7’ WARM_UP Guessing game: “Who are they?” - T gives Ss some suggestions about 4 famous footballers in the world: 1. Pele + He is a Brazilian footballer. During his career, he became known as “The King of Football”. + Picture of Pele. 2. Diego Maradona + He is an Argentinian footballer. He was awarded the Golden Ball in the 1986 World Cup. + Picture of Maradona 3. Zidane + He is a French footballer. During his career Zidane was awarded “FIFA World player of the Year” three times (in 1998, 2000, 2003). In World Cup 2006, he was awarded the Golden Ball. + Picture of Zidane. 4. David Beckham. + He is an English footballer.
