Procedure Stage Steps/Activities Work arrangements Warm up (8’) Mime - Prepare 5 pieces of paper with feeling written on it. + cold + hot + headache + toothace + stomachache - Let one student select a piece of paper and mime the feeling in front of the class and ask “What’s the matter with me?” T - whole class Pre listening (10’) I. Pre teach vocabulary - dirt (n): bụi bẩn/ bụi đất (realia) - dirty (adj): dơ bẩn (T asks ss give the adjective of “dirt”) - terrible (adj): khủng khiếp, tồi tệ (synonym: awful) - soup (n): súp/ canh/ cháo (visual) - medicine (n): thuốc uống (situation) * Checking vocabulary: Rub out and remember - Rub out the new words one at a time. - Ask ss to repeat the words before and after T rubs out the words. - When all the English words are rubbed out, go through the Vietnamese list and get ss to call out the English words. - Get ss to come to the board and write the English words again.
