Writing Writing a report based on given information In order to promote the development of the country, the Government and the people of Tango started their overall economic reform in the mid 1970s. Before that time, the country had experienced a lot of difficulties. As can be seen from the table, the economy was in ruins. All economic fields were under-developed and the trade relation was closed. There were severe famines in many parts of the country because of a lack of food. Most of the children were illiterate due to the shortage of schools. People led a dark poor life. So as to overcome these problems, the Government introduced some renovation measures: they reduced taxes on basic necessities such as food, clothes, water… and promoted the development of light industry. After that, the “green revolution” was conducted all over the country. They also opened the trade relation with other countries to export consumer goods as well as called for foreign investment. Many new projects in building were set to work by the Government. As a result, the country has changed positively. It can be studied from the table that there was a steady upward trend in all sectors from 1980 to 2000. The quantity of agriculture rose from -0.5% to 5.4% and that of fishery from -0.4% to 5.0%. The construction gained the highest achievement, which reached the highest level, from -0.3% to 6.4%. Industry, which had been the most badly ruined sector before 1980, also went up from -0.6% to 4.5% in 2000.
