activities 8’ Warm up - Gives Ss some funny questions and asks
Ss to answer them:
1, Where does June come before May?
2, What comes twice in a moment, once in
a minute but never in one hundred years?
3, What is it that was tomorrow and will
be yesterday?
4, Which 4 letters would frighten a thief?
- Gives correct answers:
1, In the dictionary
2, Letter “M”
3, Today
4, O, I, C, U
- Answer the
questions actively
10 Presentation - Gives examples:
+ Ba is very poor man He doesn’t have enough money to buy a house He says “If
I had much money, I would buy a house”
+ Peter drives very fast His girlfriend says
to him “If I were you, I would drive more carefully”
- Reads aloud the examples 2 times
- Asks all Ss to repeat
- Calls some Ss to read aloud
- Copy the examples into notebook
- Repeat after

+ Form:
If clause , main clause S+past simple, S +would+V(bare infi)
+ Usage:
Conditional sentence type 2 is used to talk about things which are unreal (not true, not possible)
* Note: with tobe, we use “were” for all subjects
- Asks Ss to copy all of these into their notebook

- Divides class into two teams and gives 10numbers, some of them are lucky numbers When Ss choose a number they have to carry out ask in this number and have 2 points If the team has wrong answer, another team will answer and receive 1 point If a team chooses the lucky number, they will have 2 point without doing anything and they continue choosing another number After 10
numbers, the team having more points wins

- Divides class into 2 teams

+ A team makes a conditional sentence type 2
+ Another team makes another sentence beginning with the main clause of the sentence made by that team
+ Continue until a team can not make a sentence or make a wrong sentence
- Checks the students’ understanding +Gives the second conditional sentences:
“If I had much money, I would buy a new car.”
+Asks Ss to make another conditional sentence type 2 such as:
“If I bought a new car, I would go
- Make teams
