UNIT 3 : SIMPLE PAST • Form ( + ) S + V-ed / irregular verbs ( - ) S + did not + V S + was/ were + not ( ? ) Did + S + V ? Was / Were + S ? + Regular verbs : thêm đuôi ED theo công thức V+ed Ex : visit -> visited ; play -> played • Ngoại lệ : - Những động từ tận cùng bằng “e” chỉ thêm “d” : live => lived - Những động từ tận cùng bằng “y” , trước “y” là 1 phụ âm thì ta đổi “y” thành “i” và thêm “ed” : study => studied - Những động từ tận cùng bằng “y” , trước “y” là 1 nguyên âm thì không cần đổi y , chỉ cần thêm “ed” : play => played Những động từ đơn âm tiết tận cùng bằng 1 nguyên âm + 1 phụ âm , ta nhân đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm “ed” : stop => stopped , step => stepped , plan=> planned • Cách đọc đuôi “ed” - Đọc là “id” với những động từ tận cùng bằng “t” hoặc “d” : wanted, needed , provided , invited , permitted , posted , exhibited , planted … - Đọc là “t” với những động từ tận cùng bằng /s/ (ce,ss), ch ,sh , x, k,p , /f/ (g) : passed , missed , danced , placed , watched , finished, … - Đọc là “d” với những từ còn lại: ploughed , raised , learned ,…. • Irregular verbs : Bảng động từ bất quy tắc • Usages : - Nói 1 hành động đã xảy ra và hoàn tất trong quá khứ , kết quả không còn lưu đến hiện tại Ex : In my childhood, I lived in a small village ……………………………………………………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………………………………………… - Nói lên 1 chuỗi những hành động xảy ra liên tiếp trong quá khứ .
