Objectives By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to: - Pronounce the clusters /pt/, /bd/, /ps/ and /bz/ - Pronounce the words and sentences containing these clusters correctly Use cleft sentences (subject focus, object focus and adverbial focus) correctly to do the exercises and solve communicative task II. Pronunciation : pt/, /bd/, /ps/ and /bz/ *T models the /pt/, /bd/, /ps/ and /bz/ for few times and explains how to pronounce them *T gets Ss to read the words in each column out loud in chorus for a few more times. T listens and corrects if Ss pronounce the words incorrectly Practicing sentences containing the target sounds *T ask Ss to work in pairs and take turn to read aloud the sentences - T goes around to listen and take notes of the typical errors - T calls on some Ss to read the sentences Listen then practicce 1 8’ 9’ 8’ again and provides corrective feedback II.
