INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS By specific demand GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS The TD switchboards are made up of the following elements: • 1 three-pole or four-pole general power interruption device • Direct incoming • Switch • Circuit breaker 100 to 400 A branch circuit breaker out- going feeders for distribution or public lighting. • 1 main busbar • Tinned aluminium • Tinned copper FDW FUSES HVA Fuses according to the International Standards Standards These fuses meet the Standard requirements: IEC 60-282-1 and DIN 43625. Important Following the blowing of one (or two) fuses in a three-phase assembly, it is necessary and essential to replace all 3 fuses. Accessories Single pole or three pole fuse-base with insulators (please consult us). 7.2 to 36kV HVA fuses • FD w. These FD w fuses of the associated type have a current limiter effect. The rapidity of current interruption in the case of a short circuit is such that the fault current cannot reach its natural maximum value. They are generally used for the protection of transformers and the FD 3M type is intended for the protection of motors or capacitors. VARISIL - FDw Surge arresters - Fuses Components 46 VARISIL LIGHTNING ARRESTERS Standards Complies with the IEC 99-4 Standard and its latest additions. Technical characteristics Rated voltage: 6 and 42kV. Rated current: 10kA. Energy capacity: 4.8kJ/kV (HD) disconnector (20A sensitivity) or indicator (10A) as an option in the vertical, inclined or horizontal position. HE type VARISIL lightning arresters in zinc oxide and silicon casing for the protection of distribution networks. Lightning arresters in the VARISIL HE range are reliable and their high performance has been proven under the most critical conditions. Available for all levels of voltage and all neutral operating condi- tions, these lightning arresters are suitably adapted for regions frequently hit by lightning. They can be equipped with a fault indicator (priority given to the continuity of protection) or a disconnector system (priority given to the continuity of service). Various single pole or three-pole mounting fittings are on offer to permit their installation in the vertical, inclined or horizontal position, on the majority of existing utility poles. Additional accessories (support base for a fit-on mounting, discharge counter, etc) are also available. PTS OVERHEAD SWITCH AND DISCONNECTOR A new generation of switches combining proven technologies for outdoor distribution applications up to 36kV – 400 and 630A. Particularly suited to difficult climate environments, it integrates well-proven current interruption and insulation technologies in AREVA SF 6 gas. The light-weight design of the switch and its choice of technologies, make it easy to handle and install. Its manufacture, in a watertight stainless steel tank and anti-corrosion treatment, gives it an increased service life. The switch requires no maintenance. A mechanical indicator of certain current interruption directly connected to the operating shaft is visible from the ground. The mechanism is a tumbler system with operation independent from the operator. The switch is equipped with flexible bushings in a synthetic material which helps make it light- weight and resistant to vandalism. Operation is carried out manually or by remote control. WS Gas-insulated switchgear 49 The SF 6 gas is used as an insulation medium. The gas insulated units are insensitive to environmental influences such as moisture, dust and aggressive gases and ensure maximum personnel protection. The synoptical overall design ensures simple, problem-free control. FEATURES WS is a gas-insulated metal-enclosed and metal-clad switchgear and controlgear in conformity with IEC 60298, VDE 0670, part 6 and is designed for installation in transformer substations, industrial plants and infrastructure. The WS switchgear, with its vacuum circuit breaker provides equipment featuring maximum availability, optimum staff safety and synoptical design.
