Lesson 3: B1,2 I. Objectives: - Further practice on comprehension listening. - After the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and answer about one’s job with the structures: What + do / does + S + do? What + do / does + S + work? -To encourage Ss to learn English heartily II. Preparation: - Material: Textbook , sub – board - Equipments: cassette and tape. III. Teaching procedure: 1. Organization: 2. Oral test: - S1 & S2 : Describe the position of the things in the classroom. - S3 & S4: Write 5 exclaimtive sentences. 3. New lesson: A. Warm- up: - Chatting about the jobs of Ss’parents. B. Presentation: B1. Listen. Then practice with a partner. * Pre- reading: - Answer the questions: a, Who are they in the picture? b, What are they doing? c, What are their jobs? d, What do farmers do everyday? e, Where do they work? f, Do they have to work hard? * While- reading: - Play the tape once. - Give the structures to ask one’s job. What do / does + S + do? S +be + a / an + name of jobs. - Give example: What does your father do? He is a farmer. - Teach some new words. Farm: trang trại, nông trại Countryside: đồng quê Grow vegetables: trồng rau. raise cattle: nuôi gia súc. housework: công việc nhà. - Ss listen once again. - Ask Ss to practice reading the dialogue in pairs. - Call some Ss to read aloud. * Post- reading: - Ask Ss to prepare the answers for the given questions in the textbook. - Call some Ss to give the answers aloud. - T corrects and writes the answers on the board. a, He’s a farmer. b, He works on his farm. c, She is a housewife. d, She does housework and she helps on the farm. e, Yes, they are. f, She is 8. - Ss copy into their notebook. B2. Read. * Pre- read: - Ask Ss to look at the pictures and guess the job of each person. - Ss work in groups to discuss about each job’s characteristics. * While- reading: - Ss read the text silently. - Call some Ss to read the text aloud. - Get Ss to answer the given questions in pairs. - Call some pairs to answer the questions aloud. - T corrects and gives the right ones: a, Her father is a doctor. He works in a hospital. b, Her mother is a teacher. She teaches in a primary school. c, Her brother is a jounalist. He writes for a Ha Noi newspaper. - Ss copy the answers. *Write about your family 4. Consolidation: - Remind Ss the way to ask one’s jobs. 5. Homework: - Review the key points. - Do the Ex in the workbook. Prepare: B3,4 . Lesson 3: B1,2 I.
