Phần B: HƯỚNG DẪN ĐỔI CÂU NHỮNG NGUYÊN TẮC CƠ BẢN CÂN NHỚ: I: CÂU KHẲNG ĐỊNH đổi sang CÂU PHỦ ĐỊNH hoặc NGHI VẤN ở bất cứ thì (tense) nào của động từ, nếu có sẵn động từ đặc biệt thì ta: 1) Chỉ cần thêm NOT vào sau động từ đặc biệt để phủ định. Examples: They have lived in Paris for ten years. ( Họ đã sống ở Ba Lê được mười năm ) They have not lived in Paris for ten years. ( Họ đã không sống ở Ba Lê được mười năm ) 2) Đem đặt động từ đặc biệt ngay trước chủ từ để tạo thành câu nghi vấn HOẶC tạo thành câu được viết dưới dạng đảo ngữ . Examples: They have lived in Paris for ten years. ( Họ đã sống ở Ba Lê được mười năm ) Have they lived in Paris for ten years? ( Họ đã sống ở Ba Lê được mười năm hả? ) II: CÂU KHẲNG ĐỊNH đổi sang câu PHỦ ĐỊNH hoặc NGHI VẤN nếu không có sẵn động từ đặc biệt thì ta mượn trợ động từ thích hợp để đổi. ( Họ không hát hay ) Do they sing very well? ( Họ hát hay không? ) 2. CÁC THÌ QUÁ KHỨ: khi động từ chính không phải là động từ đặc biệt nói trên. Examples: They went to the zoo yesterday. (Họ đã đi đến thảo cầm viên hôm qua) They did not go to the zoo yesterday. (Họ đã không đi đến thảo cầm viên hôm qua) Did they go to the zoo yesterday? ( Có phải họ đã đi đến thảo cầm viên hôm qua?) Didn’t they go to the zoo yesterday? (Có phải họ đã không đi đến thảo cầm viên hôm qua?) Peter walked to school yesterday. (Peter đã lội bộ đi học ngày hôm qua ) Peter did not walk to school yesterday. (Peter đã không lội bộ đi học ngày hôm qua ) Did Peter walk to school yesterday? (Có phải Peter đã không lội bộ đi học ngày hôm qua? ) Lưu ý: Ta có thể sử dụng một số chữ sau đây để phủ định về ý của câu trước: NEVER, RARELY, SELDOM, HARDLY, Ta cũng có thể sử dụng một số TIẾP ĐẦU NGỮ (PREFIXES) hoặc các TIẾP VĨ NGỮ (SUFFIXES) sau nay để phủ định về ý của câu trước: UN_ , IM_ , IN_ , DIS_ , AB_ , IL_ , IR_ , hoặc _LESS, II: CÂU ĐIỀU KIỆN: Loại 1: Điều kiện có thật, có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai: a) Điều kiện có thật, luôn luôn đúng: IF S V 1 / -s / -es …. , S V 1 / -s / -es ….
