Period 41 UNIT 6: THE ENVIRONMENT Lesson 5: Language focus I. Teaching points: Practice doing exercises using the grammar points in Unit 6 By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to use the grammar points in doing exercises. II. Teaching aids: Text book, work book, ruler, chalk, board. posters, pictures. III. Procedure: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Content on the board Warm up Jumbled words Have Ss w ork in 2 teams. - Give the words with the random letters. - Ask Ss to put the letters into the right order making the meaningful words. - Give feedback. Team work Get ready to write the words on the board. 1. WOSL - slow ( chậ m) 2. ASD - sad (buồ n) 3.DOGO - good (tốt, giỏ i) 4.PAPYHA - happy (vui, h.p) 5.XETERME - extreme (tột độ ) Language Focus 1 *Have Ss work in pairs - Get them to change the adjectives into adverbs. - Then ask them to use the adverbs to complete the sentences on page 54. - Call on Ss to give the answers. - Give feedback. Pair work Get ready to read aloud the answers to the whole class. Listen to T's correction & take notes 1.
