N tận cùng bằng “f/fe” ta thay”f/fe” bằng -“ves” - Ngoại lệ các từ sau ta thêm “s” : roof, froof (chứng cớ), chief (người chỉ huy), handkerchief, safe,(két,tủ sắt), belief (niềm tin), chef (bếp trưởng) d.
