Out means” remove from the inside of something.”

Up means “ lift or remove something that dropped or fell.”

It also means “completely.”

Off means “stop something”

such as water or an electric appliance

On means “ start something” such as water or an electric appliance

Down and up refers to sound levels

Exercise 1: Fill in the blanks with the correct particle.

Sometimes I get together from other mothers in my neighborhood and we talk on our kids and husbands I think I’m lucky because Dick helps me for the house work more than most other husbands do Occasionally I go to my neighbor Julie’s house and ask her about some advice, or I borrow some sugar or something of her Now and then I run around some old friends from high school

And that my life, Nancy Sure , sometimes I dream for doing something different and exciting, and I think on you in the city But really- I am very happy
