1 Reason for choosing thesis topic

Discipline is one of the factors that make up the Army's fightingstrength President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: Along with enlightenment aboutthe goals and ideals of combat, military discipline is the key point to createhigh unity in the awareness and actions of officers and soldiers, especially

on the battlefield; Therefore, he always reminded and required all officersand soldiers in the entire army to strictly and voluntarily observe discipline

He pointed out: "Our people's army must maintain strict discipline, do notdisregard discipline for the sake of peace" [105, p.221] Education anddiscipline play a very important role in forming and developing thequalities and personality of revolutionary soldiers, contributing to orientingand guiding the actions of each soldier in strictly observing the law Statelaw, military discipline, completing all assigned tasks

Infantry regiments in the Vietnam People's Army are basic tacticallevel units, fully staffed with troops, weapons and equipment, directlyperforming training and combat readiness tasks Army combat; At thesame time, directly manage, educate, and train soldiers to perform well thefunctions of the combat army, production labor, and work in the new era.Non-commissioned officers and soldiers in infantry regiments are a largeforce, making up the majority of the army and directly performing tasks inthe regiment However, because they are entering the military for the firsttime, their awareness of military discipline and the act of voluntarily andstrictly observing military discipline is still limited; Therefore, we must do

a good job of education and discipline training to equip and consolidatecomprehensive knowledge of state law, military discipline, ethicalstandards, behavioral culture, and lifestyle Forming habits of correctbehavior, formal and exemplary behavior for non-commissioned officersand soldiers, and eliminating unstandardized behavior and behavior inobserving military discipline, fulfilling duties well, assigned tasks

Aware of the role of education and discipline training for commissioned officers and soldiers, in recent years, party committees, presiding officers, and functional agencies in infantry regiments havealways attached great importance to change With new education anddiscipline training for non-commissioned officers and soldiers, theregiment maintains strict discipline and completes its assigned tasksrelatively well in all situations However, compared to the taskrequirements of building the army in general and infantry regiments inparticular in building comprehensively strong "exemplary and typical"units, the innovation of education and training Discipline for non-commissioned officers and soldiers still has many limitations, weak in

non-1

terms of awareness, responsibility, and capacity of the subjects and forces,

in terms of content, form, implementation methods, and violations ofmilitary discipline and state law by non-commissioned officers , soldierscontinue to have complicated developments, there are still cases that areslow to be detected and handled in a timely manner, directly affecting theimage of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the nature and good traditions of the Army. The limitations and shortcomings mentioned above are due to manyreasons, of which subjective reasons are the main ones Therefore, continuing to innovate education and discipline training for non-commissioned officers and soldiers is a very important issue to buildcomprehensively strong and "exemplary" infantry regiments that meetMeet mission requirements in the new situation

Currently, the world and regional situation continues to havecomplicated and unpredictable developments; the process of nationalrenewal and the task requirements of building and protecting theFatherland, building a socialist law-governed state, building a lean, compact, and strong Army, building a comprehensively strong unit

"Model "standard, typical" demands are increasingly high; Meanwhile, the negative side of the market economy and social evils are daily andhourly affecting the thoughts and feelings of officers and soldiers ingeneral and non-commissioned officers and soldiers in particular.Symptoms of ideological and political deterioration arise, loss ofconfidence and will to strive, and easy violation of military disciplineand state law Therefore, innovating education and discipline trainingfor non-commissioned officers and soldiers in infantry regiments in theArmy today is an objective and urgent requirement
