In a short period of time working as an intern at Thanh Binh Hospital, | had the chance to

3.1 Concerned theories

Before working at the Thanh Binh hospital, basic knowledge and medical examination and treatment procedures are guided as follows:

Examination - The examiner comes to the clinic and waits for his/ her turn

- Doctor appoint to take some clinical tests

- The examiner performs the tests, takes the results

- Doctors receive results and diagnose:

e Prescribe medication and make an appointment (or no)

- In case of paying by health insurance, the patient needs to fp the card at the reception counter in advance

3.2 Practical experience

So, as you know, most of the time | worked at the front desk, especially the front desk which is the first point of contact between a hospital or medical facility and patients At this position, you’re the first and last person they will see You’re the one who puts a face

to the company, the one who dictates how a visitor feels about the place from the very beginning

Going through the first internship, | got many helpful knowledge and experiences for myself | not only had a chance to put theories learned at university into practice, but alsc got many lessons from a real working environment At this internship, it helps me a lot when | can implement my skills such as computer skill, communication skill, foreign language skill, etc I'm grateful that | had the opportunity to do an internship while | was still a freshman

3.3 Comparison

When | worked at Thanh Binh Hospital, even though | learned the theory in school, it was still very difficult to put into real life There are still so many differences between theories and real life

At the hospital, | learned about medical examinations and treatment procedures The’ told me to just follow the principles

But when | worked, there were so many unusual situations coming up, such as emergenc cases You need to have experience to know the situation, what to do, what to need, an needs to be dealt with quickly

» Finally, theory is part, you must do alot and need experience to grasp the situation when working

5 PART 4: EXPERIENCE 4.1 Job done

During the internship, | was assigned so many different big or small tasks and completec them all very well, but the main task is still working at the front desk Working at this position has given me so many lessons, because you need excellent communication skil due to interacting with customers, employees However, I’ve never done that kind of work, so sometimes | still don’t really complete it perfectly But I am still satisfied with this position and learn a new experience in how to communicate with customers, employees The first time in this position left a lot of impression and | felt very suitable for it

4.2 Lesson

As | mentioned many times in the previous parts, this semester with the first internship in

my student life gave me a lot of useful lessons The period working at Thanh Binh Hospital was truly meaningful to me | was given the opportunity to try myself in different positions Moreover, working in a friendly and professional environment here, | was supported by all employees and supervisors | learned from them the seriousness a dedication to work as well as the enthusiasm and friendliness | was also taught man things such as effective team working, time management and so on, which were important in life and career, | think

Though | still had some certain weaknesses | felt satisfied with this internship since | tried my best to complete all tasks | was given In addition, it also brought me more good relations in work and nice friends in life

Below are some strengths and weaknesses | found out when | worked at Thanh Binl hospital

| have the advantage in communication and persuading skills, so | found it quite easy tc work as a front desk But although | am confident in speaking, impatience is still one of

my disadvantages I’m afraid of talking to people who are too hard to please and impolite I’m also afraid of coming to terms with their awkward questions It is difficult for me to remain cool and calm at that time

6 PART 5: FUTURE ORIENTATION 5.1 Important point

As part of my degree program, | must complete a course internship and for this purpose have chosen a reputed organization as well | think | am lucky enough that | have bee selected and got a chance to work with such prestigious organizations like Thanh Bint Hospital

Being an intern at this prestigious organization | have learned that there are many corporate values that need to be learned to make a successful Career

After the entire internship, | can understand how and where theory meets practice tc bridge the gap between theory and practice

5.2 Orientation

The work that | am doing in this internship is helping me to further explore and investigate my personal career goals At this point in time, the specific title or position that | would like to attain is still nebulous However, my internship is allowing me the space to reflect on what | truly want my career to encompass in the future, specifically regarding the themes of relationships, fit, and competence | enjoy learning new things and meeting new people each day | enjoy dynamic environments and building stable relationships within them In the future, | will seek out employment that offers a similar environment
