Trang 9z Refer to the SRS section for details on removing the spiral cable and air bag module z Unless
otherwise instructed in this repair manual, do not use electrical testers on any circuits related to the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS)
General precautions for maintenance
operations zDo not work with wet hands zBefore
removing the headlight harness connector, turn off the light/wiper combination switch module zDo
not touch or apply oil or grease to the glass surface of the headlight bulb zWhen the headlight
has just been turned off, do not touch or apply pressure to the headlight bulb because it is still hot zWhen
the bulb burns out, wrap it in a plastic bag of appropriate thickness and discard it Do not break the bulb zAfter
removing the bulb from the headlight assembly, if the headlight assembly is left without the bulb for too long, the performance of the lens and reflector may be weakened (for example, it may be contaminated with dust, moisture, etc.) Therefore, when replacing the bulb, you must always have a new bulb ready for replacement at any time
zDo not use organic solvents (paint thinner or gasoline) to clean dust or remove old sealant from the headlamp assembly zDo not touch
the headlamp assembly and its wiring harness connector when the xenon headlamp is turned on or is already on
zIf the wiring harness connector of the xenon headlamp is not properly installed, high voltage leakage or abnormal power discharge may occur, causing
Melting of the headlight, harness connector or
lamp socket zDo not light the xenon headlight outside the vehicle lamp socket, as it may cause fire or damage to the eyes
zBefore disassembling or touching the xenon headlight, remove the negative terminal wire of the battery to disconnect the system.
When repairing, do not place the unexploded airbag surface directly on the table or the ground If the airbag accidentally explodes, the entire airbag
assembly will fly into the air, causing casualties If you carry an unexploded airbag, it is best to face the airbag fixing part towards you (the airbag surface is away from you), which can cause less damage in the event of an accidental explosion Otherwise, it may cause casualties After performing airbag system repairs, make sure the system is normal before reconnecting the line
The SRS harness can be identified by the yellow wire or connector
Warning:
To avoid failure or malfunction of the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which could result in personal injury or death in a collision, all repairs to
the system must be performed by an authorized dealer
Precautions
Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) "Air Bag" and "Seat Belt Pretensioner" Precautions Supplementary restraint
systems such as "Air Bag" and "Seat Belt Pretensioner" are intended to reduce serious injuries or dangers to the driver and front passenger caused by certain collisions If seat belts are not used in conjunction, greater injuries to the occupants may occur When repairing, the negative terminal of the battery must be removed and isolated to allow the system's capacitor to discharge for more than 15 seconds before diagnosing, testing, and disassembling the air bag system assembly Failure to do so may cause the air bag to explode, resulting in personal injury or death
The SRS and SB chapters of this maintenance manual contain the information needed to safely repair the system
Trang 10When performing troubleshooting, refer to the following:
z Refer to GI-13, “How to Perform Troubleshooting” in the GI section z Refer to GI-25,
“How to Perform Effective Diagnosis of Electrical Events” in the GI section
Wiring Diagrams and
Troubleshooting When reading the wiring diagrams,
refer to the following: z Refer to GI-15, “How to Read Wiring Diagrams” in the GI
section z Refer to PG-4, “Power Supply Configuration Circuit System” in the PG section for Power Distribution

Front Control Module (FECU)
System
Description The operation control of the headlight system depends on the position of the light combination switch When the front control module (FECU)
in the engine room fuse box receives the input signal from the light/wiper combination switch module (COLUMN SW ECU), it will decide whether to turn
on the low beam or high beam according to the working state of the light combination switch This input signal is transmitted via the CAN1 BUS system
After the front control module (FECU) in the engine room fuse box receives the signal to turn on the headlight, it will control the low beam relay or high
beam relay inside the front control module (FECU) according to the driver's demand, so that the relay coil side is grounded At this time, the power will be
switched to the low beam or high beam through the relay contact, so that the low beam or high beam is lit This model is equipped with 55W halogen low
beam and 60W halogen high beam In addition, it is equipped with a headlight height adjustment switch Its main function is to allow the driver to manually
adjust the lighting height of the headlight beam appropriately when the number of passengers in the vehicle and the weight of the items carried change
The headlight height adjustment switch has five sections, namely 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 The larger the number selected, the lower the lighting height of the headlight beam

When the ignition switch is turned from ON to ACC or OFF, and the light combination switch is not in the OFF position: (1)
If the driver's door is opened and then immediately closed, the light will come on for about 1 second and then go out (2) If the driver's
door is not opened, the light will stay on for about 3 minutes and then go out (3) If the driver's door is opened and
remains open, the light will stay on for about 3 minutes and then go out
(2) When the ignition switch is in the ON position, if the light/wiper combination switch module (COLUMN SW ECU) cannot control the headlights, parking lights,
taillights, tailgate taillights and license plate lights via the CAN1 BUS system, if the driver turns on the low beam switch, the request signal to turn on the lights will pass through the backup circuit, causing the low beams, parking lights, taillights, tailgate taillights and license plate lights to be illuminated
CAN COMMUNICATION
Light monitoring warning sound
When the ignition switch is in LOCK or ACC, if the light combination switch is not in the OFF position, if the door is opened, the light monitoring buzzer will sound; if the ignition switch is in the ON position, or the light combination switch is OFF, or the driver's door is closed again, the light monitoring buzzer will stop sounding the warning
(1) When the low beam switch in the light combination switch is faulty, if the low beam switch is turned on, the parking lights, tail lights, tailgate tail lights and license plate lights will not light up; however, when the low beam switch is turned on, the low beam lights, parking lights, tail lights, tailgate tail lights and license plate lights will all light up
