Conclusion:

3 Introducing the group’s topic:

Our presentation is about Success and Failure in life In terms of this topic, we did some research about the definitions of success and failure and their role in our lives, searched for a few examples of people who are famous for experiencing failure and have already achieved success and summarized some tips to overcome failure to succeed

4 Outlining the presentation:

There are 4 parts in our presentation The first is the Definition of success and failure.

The second part looks at The role of success and failure in life and their relationship The

third part discusses some Stories about those people who had to deal with failure and have already achieved success The final part deals with finding some Ways to deal with failure

to be successful in a more realistic and effective way

“Failure is the path to success” is an old saying but it holds true even in today’s modern

and fast-paced world Some argue that failure is essential for gaining success in life, while others believe that one can be highly successful without going through a failure phase Success

is the result of bad experiences in life The path to success is filled with difficulties and hurdles Bad experiences in life teach many valuable lessons and to be successful, it is imperative to learn from the mistakes and avoid them in the future Therefore, failure is an essential part of

an individual’s life Overall, the success of an individual comes from his mistakes in life By learning from bad experiences, human beings can achieve big things in life

1.1 Definition

Success is the state of accomplishing a goal or achieving desired outcome that one has set out to do Success can be measured by various criteria, but it is often related to achieving a specific goal, achieving satisfaction, advancement or better financial status, improving quality

of life, becoming an influential person in the community, or it can be the personal satisfaction

of what one has achieved

Success is not only about the huge things such as: getting a degree from a prestigious university, holding a high-level position in a company, earning a lot of money, … but it also comes from little things like solving a puzzles, being respected by other people around or gaining wisdom and learning from mistakes…

b What is Failure?

Failure is the state of not achieving a goal or a desired outcome that one has set out to do Failure can occur when a person lacks the necessary skills, knowledge or experience to achieve

a goal or faces obstacles

There are some common examples of failure such as: receiving poor test grades, not getting accepted into a degree or certification program, missing a deadline, being terminated from a job…

1.2 What causes Failure in life and factors required for Success

Success can mean: feeling that tingle of excitement about what you do, sticking with what matters through hard times, living a life you can feel proud of in restropect However, success

is not something that can be attained by a shortcut It requires a lot of hard work, dedication, motivation, perceverance, firm determination for the goal A person who is a good observer and listener values the importance of time does hard work and then is rewarded with the fruit

of success Success is a stepwise process that needs patience

First, we have to decide your own goal We all must have a goal in our life Life without

aim is of no value An aim in our life helps us to be focused and think about accomplishing the same

Second, we need to master time management It is the most important factor that is

required for getting success in life Time lost can never be brought back Everything in this world is meant to be done in a definite period of time Therefore we must realize the importance of time and work accordingly to get rewarded with a happy and successful life

Third, we need to stay motivated Everybody in this world needs an inspiration that helps

us in pushing forward to accomplish our goals of life It is something that instills a spark in us and gives us positive energy to work with dedication

Final, hard-work is the most important There is no substitute for the hard work in the

process of becoming successful There are people in this world provided with luck or genius minds but hard work is necessary for everyone It is considered the key to success irrespective

of the field

As any successful person will honestly admit, failure happens, and we’ve all had our fair share of it But from each failure, we learn two equally valuable lessons: That there was at least one reason we failed, and that we can rebound from that failure So, why do we fail? According to Shiv Khera, author of failures most often occur for one of these six

reasons:

Giving excuses You’re bound to fail when you blame others for your faults and

difficulties Simultaneously, we’re all dealing with issues that are causing us to stray from our intended routes We will only achieve progress in life if we stop utilizing these issues and obstacles as excuses Successful people don’t let excuses get in the way of achieving their objectives

Lack of humility Despite its unpopularity, many successful people believe humility to

be a significant factor in their success Some even believe it is necessary for success However, there are several more benefits to being modest It encourages you to think about others rather than oneself all the time Humility allows you to examine your talents, shortcomings, and limits realistically It will, however, assist you in realizing that there are many things about which you are unaware

Lack of Belief in yourself Successful people aren’t always distinguished from failed

ones by intelligence or talent The most significant distinction is that successful people believe

in themselves They think they can achieve the objectives they set for themselves They are confident in their capacity to find answers to the problems they face

Lack of planning You are less likely to be successful when you do not have a solid

strategy It makes no difference if the strategy is flawed or if events do not proceed according

to plan The only thing that counts is the strategy you have This will assist you in directing all of your efforts on the same path You’ll very likely move round in circles if you lack a defined plan and you’ll never get closer to your objectives

Lack of persistence More people fail not because they lack knowledge or talent but

because they just quit It’s important to remember two words: persistence and resistance Persist in what must be done and resist what ought not to be done

Try new approaches Persistence is important, but repeating the same actions over and over again, hoping that time you’ll succeed, probably won’t get you any closer to your objective Look at your previous unsuccessful efforts and decide what to change Keep making adjustments and midcourse corrections, using your experience as a guide

Lack of Self-Discipline Discipline is needed to be successful As a result, maintaining

self-control is a key component of success When issues develop, you’re more prone to quit fast if you lack self-discipline A lack of discipline makes you more inclined to succumb

to short-term pleasures that end nowhere When you’re not disciplined, you won’t see the

point in sacrificing now for tomorrow’s gain

2.1 Success is important in our life

We all work to achieve something in our lives The goals can vary but the final destination for everyone is getting successful It is very important for us to become successful in our lives

It gives us a good name and recognition in our society Success makes us more confident and happier in life It also provides us great inner satisfaction as attaining success means getting the thing that we desire and love doing in our life

It is most important for the survival of human beings It opens up the doors of different opportunities for us Success gives us the encouragement to move forward in our life We can never live our life without encouragement or motivation Success is something that makes our life meaningful and optimistic It is something that gives a proper direction to our life The successful people are an exemplar for other people in the society

2.2 Failure is the key to Success

Failure is not the opposite of success, it is part of success Failure is inevitable in life but

it gives us the chance to jump back, to learn from our mistakes, and helps us enjoy success

“If you’re never failed, you’ve never lived” is how the saying goes Failure is probably one of the aspects of life most people are afraid of But the truth is: everyone has failed and everyone will fail

Failures often lead to success because they allow you to test and try what doesn't work to discover what does Experiencing failure might be painful initially, though without it, you might miss the many benefits it can bring It’s important to learn from failure because it brings

us one step closer to reaching success “Success is forged through failure” Everyone who has ever been successful in their life has failed their way to the top If you do have a set goal and aren’t making mistakes, you may not be aiming to achieve your full potential To succeed, you need to be aiming for that extra step up and ensure there is a risk of failing It does not mean aim for the impossible, it means you need to be aiming for high standards that will push you Failure is your scale to check if you have goals that are set at that slightly higher standard

Nguyen Ngoc Ky was born on June 28 1947 in Hai Thanh commune, Hai Hau district, th

Nam Dinh province in a poor family On September 28 , 2022, after a long time fighting th

against kidney failure, 75-year-old teacher passed away at his home in Thu Duc City

In 1951, when he was 4, a polio fever (

) left his hand paralyzed so he could not move At first, he learned to write with his mouth but was not successful However, he decided not to surrender to despair, little boy Nguyen Ngoc Ky determined to use his feet to do things that ordinary people use their hands He shared that at first, when he wrote with his foot, it was difficult and frustrating because he could not hold the pen steadily and wanted to give up sometimes Later, thanks to his perseverance, he gradually able to write his first words

From Grade 1 to the end of high school, Nguyen Ngoc Ky was always the top studen in the class Driven by his determination, in 1963, he placed 5 in the Northern 7 Math Contest th th

in Literature at Viet Nam National University (VNU) and graduated with an excellent degree
