Hiện nay trên cả nước có gần 20 trường được Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo cho phép †ổ chức thi cấp bằng B2 tiếng Anh theo định dạng VSTEP và cấp mẫu chứng chỉ B2 VSTEP theo mẫu
chung do Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo quy định Hồ sơ dự thi và lệ phí thi VSTEP do các trường tự
quy định, thông thường từ khoảng 1 triệu đến 1,8 triệu đồng Các trường thường thông báo kết qua thi sau 2 tuần kể từ ngày dự thi và cấp chứng chỉ sau 1 tháng kể từ ngày dự thi Tuy nhiên, nhiều trường có thể cấp phiếu báo kết quả ngay sau khi có điểm thi cho thí sinh cần gấp (nếu
có nhu cầu và đăng ký)
Về hình thức dự thi, hầu hết các trường tổ chức thi VSTEP trên máy tính Hiện cịn Trường Đại học Ngoại ngữ - Đại học Quốc gia Hà Nội tổ chức thi VSTEP trên giấy Dự kiến, tất cả các
trường sẽ buộc phải tổ chức kỳ thi VSTEP trên máy tính bắt đầu từ tháng 7 năm 2023
