Standards Committee in consultation with the Automobile Standards Committee It is identical with ISO 4926 “Road vehicles — Hydraulic brake systems — Non-petroleum base reference fluids ” This is Part of BS AU 74 which covers components for vehicle braking systems using non- petroleum base fluids It is intended to issue other Parts specifying non- petroleum base brake fluid and cups, boots and seals for use in the braking system An associated British Standard will specify similar components for vehicle braking systems using petroleum base fluids In drafting this series of British Standards full consideration has been given to the work of subcommittee TC 22/SC2 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Terminology and conventions The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication, without deviation, as a British Standard Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is especially drawn to the following The comma has been used throughout as a decimal marker In British Standards it is current practice to use a full point on the baseline as the decimal marker Where the words “International Standard” appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as “British Standard” A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations This British Standard, having been prepared under the Summary of pages direction of the Rubber Standards Committee in This document comprises a front cover, an inside front cover, pages i and ii, consultation with the pages and and a back cover Automobile Standards Committee, was published This standard has been updated (see copyright date) and may have had under the authority of the amendments incorporated This will be indicated in the amendment table on Executive Board and the inside front cover comes into effect on 31 October 979 © BSI 02- 2000 Amendments issued since publication The following BSI references Amd No relate
