C1 - 60 × 32 EXAMPLE A tool holder with rectangular axial seat o f type C1 with a nominal diameter, d1 nominal height, = 16 mm, and a nominal length, = 55 mm, is designated as follows: h = 20 mm, a l Tool holder ISO 10889-4 - C1 - 20 × 16 × 55 Technical delivery conditions 6.1 General As a complement to the requirements of ISO 10889-1, those given in 6.2 and 6.3 also apply 6.2 Design Tool holders with a rectangular axial seat are equipped with a coolant outlet with adjustable direction The design is at the discretion o f the manu facturer, e.g ball-type nozzle © ISO 2016 – All rights reserved ISO 10889-4:2016(E) The tools shall be adjustable in the tool holder at right angles to the rectangular seat The design is at the discretion of the manufacturer It shall be possible to reduce the dimension h1 specified in Table to the next smallest standardized dimension h1 as given in Table The design is at the discretion of the manufacturer Table — Smaller standardized dimension, h d1 h1 16 10 20 12 25 12 30 16 40 20 50 25 Dimensions in millimetres 60 25 80 32 Tool holders may also be supplied with a hardened contact sur face It shall be then mentioned in the designation (H for hardened contact surface) EXAMPLE A tool holder with rectangular axial seat o f type C1 with a nominal diameter, d1 nominal height, h1 = 20 mm, with hardened contact surface is designated as follows: = 40 mm, a Tool holder ISO 10889-4 -
