we concluded our Novena to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I appreciate those who came to pray and celebrate with us this past week at our Novena Masses How blest we are to belong to a Parish named in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Our parish is the first in all of New Jersey named in honor of the Sacred Heart We are called to conform our own heart after His Most Sacred Heart; a heart of love and mercy I see the love of Jesus in all the many works of mercy we here at the parish as we share the love of Christ As we conclude our celebration this weekend, I invite you to “Dedicate Your Home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.” I am making available an image of the Sacred Heart that includes a “Family Consecration Prayer.” I encourage you to frame the image of the Sacred Heart and place the image and prayer in a prominent place in your home Allow the image and prayer to be a reminder that Christ abides in your home Remember the promise Our Lord made to Saint Margaret Mary: “Wherever the Image of My Sacred Heart is publicly exposed and honored, I will pour out graces of sanctification and salvation, I will touch unfeeling hearts, I will reunite divided families, I will help them in all their needs.” I will place this image in our churches and rectories and school, and I encourage you to the same in your home and maybe even your place of work This will be a great witness to your family and friends, and a reminder that Christ abides in your home Jesus is the source of all love and healing, and we pray that the love of Jesus will be a source of healing and strength and And what a beautiful feast it is – one which touches the heart of it all, the boundless love of God for all of creation No gods were ever as near to their people as is our God We celebrate our existence as a parish in Camden for 136 years, and as a mission for 150 years, praying for all who have gone before us and calling on the Spirit of God to help us to be a Heart of holy energy and good ministry in Camden for a very long time!
