The Asia Pacific Affairs Council Journal is calling for submissions! Theme: Future is Asian Highlighting a real shift in the world's center of gravity, the 2021 A sia Pacific Affairs Council Journal will focus on the dynamic role of Asia in public health and emergency preparedness, economic security in humanitarian affairs, trade and development, energy, cyber conflict, and cycles of kinetic conflict in the East and Southeast Asia region. All Columbia University students are invited to submit opinion pieces, interviews, photo essays, travel journals, expository essays, research summaries, and more. II Submissions may reflect original research, but should generally not be full academic research papers unless they are summations or distillations of this research. III Submission length may vary, but should generally be between 1,200-1,400 words for feature articles Op-Eds of ~800 words will also be considered. IV Submissions should illuminate the theme/topic of that semester’s issue; however, unrelated submissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. V Submissions, while subject to editing and fact-checking by the editorial board, must already include Chicago style citation in order to be considered for publication.
