External Affairs, Mercy Health Partners Dr Jerry W Askew is Senior Vice President for External Affairs for Mercy Health Partners Prior to joining Mercy in 2001, he served as President and CEO of the East Tennessee Foundation Jerry’s career in Knoxville began in 1985 when he was appointed Dean of Students at the University of Tennessee He went on to serve as Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Affairs while holding faculty appointments in the Leadership Studies and University Honors departments Jerry received his BA from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, his MS from the University of Memphis and his PhD from Ohio State Jerry has been extremely active since his arrival in Knoxville, serving on the boards of over
