platform SuiteLift-HY features: cabin composed of floor, walls and a ceiling with internal lighting; push-button board in the cabin with controls enabling to move the platform and to signal alarm conditions; emergency lighting in case of power cut-off from the mains supply; landing doors with call push-buttons featuring light indications; hydraulic operation with the side piston controlled by the hydraulic control unit; an electronic control panel with microprocessor logic; The oil under pressure flows in the flexible hoses from the hydraulic control unit to the shaft piston In the lifting travel, the piston is pushed by the oil In the descent travel, by gravity, the load on the piston pushes the oil to the control unit The push of the piston is transferred to the cabin in a direct or indirect way, by means of a system consisting of ropes and diverter sheaves Lifting and descent speed should not exceed 0.15 m/s Some features of the lift platform have been designed to grant passengers' comfort and safety: - Stop push-button in the cabin for emergency stop (only for systems with cabin without doors) Alarm push-button in the cabin to actuate the emergency sound signal (*) Landing doors with certified security keylock Certified safety catch device and safety electrical contact protecting from the slackening of the ropes Valve for stopping the flow of the oil to stop the cabin in case of pipes breaking Overrun contact to prevent the cabin from travelling over the top floor Re-levelling device preventing the lift from sinking slowly Overload sensor to lock the platform in case of excessive load A reduced distance between the cabin entrances and the relevant front walls More devices are designed to grant maintenance operators the highest safety standards: - A trapdoor on the cabin roof fitted with a safety contact A safety strut in the pit with a safety contact A Stop switch in the pit Gate valve cutting off the hydraulic flow (*) Warning: If the building or the installation environment makes the alarm system ineffective, to ensure rescue to the passengers, it is necessary to install a device, however supplied, that allows voice communication at any time in both directions with a rescue service (e.g.: telephone, telephone dialler) For energy saving, the cabin lights are off when the platform is not used The lights will turn on as soon as a user opens one of the landing doors or presses one of the control pushbuttons 2.1 PLATFORM CONTROLS The movement of the lift platform is controlled by the pushbuttons in the cabin and on the landing The push-buttons controlling platform movement from inside the cabin and from the landings may be: - of the “hold to run” type, which means they must be kept pressed until the end of the movement they control Releasing these push-buttons will cause the platform to stop immediately Press the push-button anew to start the platform again The cabin stops automatically upon reaching the selected floor It is therefore advisable to wait for the cabin to stop before releasing the push-button Releasing the pushbutton beforehand could cause the cabin to stop in advance, thus creating a gap to the exit level - of the “automatic” type, which means it is sufficient to press them for a few instants for the cabin to start its movement and stop automatically once it reaches the landing Revision - Date: 03/04/2018 - Filename: ENG_Suite Hy_Manuale uso e manutenzione_Rev.5.doc Page 5/22 LIFT PLATFORM SUITE®lift-HY USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL Types of platform control - In case of system without doors in the cabin the control type can be: a) “hold to run” from cabin and from landings b) “hold to run” from cabin and “automatic” from landings if the cabin entrances are protected with optic barriers c) “automatic” from landings and from cabin if the system features the entrance protection monitored system - In case of system with doors in the cabin the control is “automatic” both from landings and from cabin Controls from the landing To get the lift platform to the desired floor, press or hold the control push-button by the door The cabin will continue moving and will stop automatically when the floor is reached When the control is being carried out, a red light on the push-buttons on all the floors will turn on This signals that the cabin is moving (“busy” lift system signal) In case of system with manual doors on the landing, the presence of the cabin on the floor is signalled by a green light turning on, on the warning device by the push-button of the specific floor The warning device shows the message: "available" The landing door can be opened only when the "available cabin" sign is active Controls in the cabin To carry out a travel remaining inside the platform cabin, press or hold the control push-button on the pushbutton board in the cabin relevant to the desired destination floor and keep it pressed The cabin will continue moving and will stop automatically when the selected floor is reached When the control is being carried out, a red light will turn on, on the push-buttons on all the floors This signals to possible users who are waiting that the cabin is moving (“busy” lift system signal) In case of platform without cabin doors, to stop the platform and keep it stopped in case of emergency, press the STOP switch on the push-button board in the cabin When the STOP switch is pressed, it remains locked in the active position, preventing the platform from performing any movement To start the platform again, the STOP switch has to be disabled voluntarily by turning it to its rest position To call for rescue (for example, in case the platform is blocked because of a breakdown), press the alarm pushbutton on the push-button board in the cabin This pushbutton is yellow and bears the symbol of a bell Pressing the alarm push-button will actuate a sound alarm which can be heard by the people in the building If a telephone alarm system (optional) is installed in the cabin, by pressing the alarm push-button a call will be made to a rescue centre and it will be possible to talk to them In case the telephone alarm system is installed, the instructions of use should be affixed in the cabin Power cut-off A power cut-off will cause the cabin to stop In case the platform features a battery-operated auxiliary powering (optional), it is possible to drive the cabin during a descent travel - to any floor by pressing the control pushbuttons in the cabin or in the landing The aim of this operation is to enable passengers to leave the cabin Therefore, after reaching the floor, the platform will be out of service until the power from the mains supply is resumed This happens as well in case the cabin is already on a floor when a black out occurs Revision -
