In accordance with a conceptual framework, the market research was conducted This framework contained a business concept, PESTLE analysis, Porter's five factors analysis, analysis of competitors, SWOT analysis, empirical research, and a business plan The author conceived the "Green Collector" after observing the Deposit Return system in European countries, where he had the opportunity to study In addition, qualitative research methodology was selected for the study To collect data, however, semi-structured interviews were used The interview sample consisted of an expert from the solid waste treatment company E.TECO In addition, observation was employed as a method of data collecting For both online and offline respondents, the survey questions were created in a themes-based fashion According to the data, the economy of Ho Chi Minh is solid, and both the government and the HCMC committee encourage investments in environmental management In addition, the SWOT analysis revealed that the "Green Collector" firm offers strengths, such as cutting-edge technology, a distinctive operation model, and further chances However, the thesis also emphasized obstacles such as high investment, ease of operation, and overwhelming competition In addition, the business strategy was created with Business Model Canvas in mind The business plan said that the required startup capital was 1.1 billion Vietnamese Dong, with the author providing 100 percent of the stock According to the financial plan, after three years of operation, "Green Collector" will have a positive net present value (NPV) The required startup money, an estimate of profits and losses, and further appendices were also included with the thesis Consequently, the results of the study predict the success of "Green Collector" in Ho Chi Minh City iv TÓM T T LU N V N TH C S Lu n v n nh m xác đ nh tính th c ti n kh thi c a vi c hình thành m t c s kinh doanh thu gom phân lo i ch t th i r n t i Thành ph H Chí Minh, Vi t Nam Ngồi ra, m c đích c a lu n v n l p m t k ho ch kinh doanh chi ti t cho d án kh i nghi p "Green Collector." matrix has been fully assessed, the risks can be sorted the hazards according to the scoring column Table 17 displays a completed matrix along with the risk event scores As the result from the table, financial risk has the highest score with 15 points, the next critical risk comes from the competitor and the operating The least essential risks are the market risk, which are both systematic and unsystematic risk 6.2 Exit options There are three fundamental exit plans, each of which has a significant impact on the company and its founders (Harris, 2006) The preferred exit plan is to sell the company in the form of a trade sale to a larger company because the alternatives, a buyout or putting the shares on the stock market, are influenced by competition, which in most circumstances brings down the price The "Green Collector" is most likely to exit the business within the next eight years through a sale to a waste treatment solution company, a sale to a foreign company interested in this industry, or a merger with large investors If the option of selling is chosen, the business license alone will be extremely valuable to a foreign company seeking a rapid market entry Additionally, the business name will have added value in terms of goodwill that may be acquired by another company if the initial members are no longer interested in or content with the business venture and wish to go on to something else CHAPTER VII CONCLUSION This thesis has developed a comprehensive business plan for the growth and evaluation of the Ho Chi Minh City market for particular enterprises that collect domestic solid garbage Specifically, the focus has been on the creation of a business plan for a new method of processing used containers for Ho Chi Minh's people This work has made significant advances to our understanding of lean business plan development for the "Green Collector." This contribution has been categorized into chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, and of this dissertation The first set of contributions comprised an in-depth review of the environmental possibilities of the Ho Chi Minh market The paper also contains references to studies demonstrating that the waste treatment solution in Ho Chi Minh City has a significant gap that can only be bridged if all available resources are utilized Source classification and individual collection are essential resources that can be utilized across Ho Chi Minh City The second set of contributions included a detailed resource analysis's theoretical framework, an opportunity analysis using PESTLE and Porter's Five Forces analyses, a customer market survey, and a market analysis The analysis's conclusion was then discussed in chapter The knowledge gathered from chapters through was used to create the business plan for the "Green Collector" 85 project These chapters' contribution comprise comprehensive SWOT analysis, a 4P marketing plan, an operational plan, and a finance plan for the project's execution Therefore, establish analysis that the business proposal is financially viable through economic, industry, market, business, and financial analysis The business plan is mostly limited by two considerations First is the limited scope of data obtained; a broader data set would have allowed for more accurate market predictions Second, the business analysis was primarily conducted at an early level, and the future plan was not yet specified Despite the constraint, the research revealed that the "Green Collector" concept had a high probability of creating a profitable business in the solid waste treatment industry Reasons for entering the market include minimal entry barriers, an attractive and expansive market, low supplier bargaining power, and direct competition This research reveals the company's readiness to acquire the necessary human resources and business operation plan "Green Collector" intends to thrive in a market whose demands and technologies will expand and evolve continuously With a moderate barrier to entry, increasing numbers of competitors will enter the market shortly However, "Green Collector" will deal with this scenario by diversifying its portfolio in the future The endeavor will begin on a small scale before expanding to a greater scale and diversifying the acquired products It is quite impossible to anticipate any situation This thesis offers the majority of the information needed to prepare for market entry, as well as potential risks and exit option in pessimistic scenario However, other market facts must be tested along the road as the company introduces its items to the market The "Green Collector" initiative will be adaptable and will modify its product line to market demands and requirements 86 REFERENCE Anh, M (2022) Science and technology - Ho Chi Minh City has incorporated technology into solid waste treatment stages, including the Northwest Solid Waste Treatment Complex (Cu Chi District) and Da Phuoc Solid Waste Treatment Complex (Binh Chanh District) In addition, there is a waste-incineration facility that generates power I had chances to visit these facilities when I was working in E-TECO, the managers complain that because waste segregation at the source of the city has not yet been established, the challenge experienced by this plant throughout operation was that it continued to have to separate the trash prior to treatment Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has not created a network to collect recyclable garbage; thus, the majority of recyclable waste is buried with solid waste (domestic solid waste), resulting in a loss of resources, money, and environmental impact A portion of this recycled garbage is collected, purchased, sold, and exchanged by the force of bottles, which is modest, does not guarantee environmental sanitation, and does not fulfill the requirements of big recycling models 95 Is it true that classifying the solid waste at source would help the authority in the environment activities? Do you apply it in your daily life? Yes, because of the shortage in the waste treatment process, the authority would need the help from every citizens in classifying the waste Personally, in my company, the awareness of sorting the waste is a must whether you are at the company or at home As the result, sorting the waste is kind of my habit (laugh) How you see the business environment for start-ups related to environmental business? Environmental pollution and climate change are escalating in severity, therefore the general and unavoidable tendency of future growth will be to protect the living environment I can tell you that youngsters these days all prefer minimalism lifestyle to prevent wasting resources Smart city and green development will likely be the future trend Consequently, I believe environmental business concepts will garner interest and support When the media stresses the slow destruction of the environment, many people become aware of the benefits of eco-friendly products In response to the trend of favorable customer developments, manufacturers have been doing research on a variety of products Not only does it supply vital products, but it also has significant environmental repercussions For me, I truly like the concept of Green Joy Straw's "grass straws" when they can replace plastic straws This straw is biodegradable and suitable for human consumption In addition, the preliminary processing of this output of grass straw leads to the creation of steady employment opportunities in the Mekong Delta Or similarly, rice straws offer all the same benefits as grass straws, and they can also be consumed, which ensures that they are no longer discharged into the environment I greatly value these concepts Ho you see t e potential o t e “ reen Colle tor” business in Ho Chi Minh City? As far as I can tell, there are several families and a large number of young people who are quite aware of waste categorization Numerous initiatives, such as "Exchange recyclables," "Let's clean up the sea Collect rubbish to protect the environment," etc., are organized annually in local communities, and a huge number of young people attend and support them You also disseminated to every neighborhood and alley the people's understanding of rubbish categorization In addition, some houses have purposefully segregated trash at the source, yet collectors combine waste types in trucks due to a shortage of specialist equipment Therefore, having a collecting machine that individuals can simply transport is extremely convenient for them, and bringing this machine also allows them to make money As I once heard someone remark, "Earning 96 money is enjoyable, but there is nothing more lovely than earning money and being happy." I also see that the majority of organizations dealing with trash nowadays are losing money Therefore, it is difficult to attract investments and repay the initial cost of the equipment You must persuade investors who care about the environment and are open to non-profit work But you should not be disheartened by this, as I am aware of a firm with the similar concept of collecting scrap, where garbage is sorted at the source and sent directly to a recycling facility, which was created in 2018 and is doing well so far You may find information about “Revival Waste” on the Internet; I believe they did an excellent job How well does the Government in general and the Ho Chi Minh in specific support the business? Environmental protection operations not constitute corporate investment The Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund, the Environmental Protection Fund of the provinces, and the Vietnam Development Bank will provide incentives and support in the form of investment capital to enterprises on this list; preferential tax, fees and charges, and land support will also be provided My former company also benefit from this In addition, as far as I'm aware, concentrated trash collection, treatment, recycling, and reuse are included on the list of sectors with investment incentives Consequently, newly founded businesses resulting from investment projects in the field of concentrated waste collection, treatment, recycling, and reuse will get tax incentives, import tax exemptions State tax on agricultural land usage and other measures Which factors can affect the environmental-related business? In recent years, there have been a large number of corporate projects including the creation of environmentally conscious goods, technology, and business practices However, there are still few start-ups in the sector of environmental protection, enterprise market penetration confronts numerous obstacles, and product certification and product standards remain minor obstacles The greatest challenge for businesses in this industry, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, is the tension between two goals: profit and environmental responsibility Second, the current focus of business assistance policies is only on production development, with the aim of promoting the circular economy and green procurement in production and consumption Environmental protection consciousness is the third and maybe most significant component A person who is willing to modify their practice of placing all rubbish in a single trash can and has no qualms about transporting their trash to a central location or recycling it Individuals are 97 prepared to spend more than normal for ecologically friendly items Or are they willing to promote the notion of environmental preservation to others around them? How would competitors affect the “ reen Colle tor” business? Buying bottles at home, also known as buying scraps, is one of the fields of commerce in which many individuals get wealthy However, there are also many individuals who have given up in the middle of the race because the competition is so intense In addition to individuals who often purchase bottles on the street, they may also contact scrap firms if the quantity of bottles is large and to ensure a higher price Each organization pays a different price for its consumers, and their services adhere to various criteria I know that there is an mobile application, called VECA, that offer purchasing bottles at home with a fairly simple, convenient way and low price Various three of the afore mentioned methods have the benefit of being able to gather all sorts of scrap from individuals' houses, instead of bringing it to the collecting machine like “Green Collector”, this item is now highly desirable Additionally, while selling to scrap collectors, individuals can get the payment instantly What is the possibility of success in the Green Collector business? In order for this paradigm to be effective, I believe it must be disseminated to as many individuals as possible These machines should be positioned in regions with crowded people, such as malls, supermarkets As stated previously, human awareness is the most significant factor; thus, it is crucial to learn about their perspectives and living standards in order to locate an appropriate location for the machine In addition, it is necessary to collaborate with beverage makers to discover the optimal recycling option and maximize "Green Collector's" revenues Additionally, this is not the only concept for "gathering scraps," so it may be paired with current partners to boost income, success probability, and long-term retention As in industrialized nations, particularly Europe, this system has been employed well, but it is administered by governmental organizations, thus there is no profit pressure In Vietnam, however, I believe the private sector has a greater chance of success since, due to our country's economic circumstances, the government cannot always prioritize this sort of investment 98 PROFILE Full name: HO XUAN HOANG Date of birth: 21/01/1996 Place of birth: HCMC Address: 370 NGUYEN VAN QUY, W PHU THUAN, D.7, HCMC TRAINING PROCESS (Starting from university to now) WORKING PROCESS (Starting from work to now) ...
