Unit 6: A visit to a school Lesson 7: Looking back & Project I OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: Knowledge: - Review the vocabulary and grammar of Unit - Apply what they have learnt (vocabulary and grammar) into practice through a project Competences: - Develop communication skills and creativity - Develop presentation skill - Develop critical thinking skill - Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and team work - Actively join in class activities Qualities: - Be more creative when doing the project - Develop self-study skills II TEACHING AIDS Teacher: Grade textbook, Unit 6, Looking back & Project - Computer connected to the Internet - Pictures, A0 paper - Projector/ TV - sachmem.vn Students: Text books, notebooks, posters, … III PROCEDURES: 1.Warm-up (5’) * Aim: To revise the vocabulary related to the topic and lead in the next part of the lesson - To enhance students’ skills of cooperating with teammates * Content: BRAINSTORMING * Products: Ss write as many school facilities Teacher’s and Content Ss’activities - Teacher divides the -BRAINSTORMING board, and divides the class into teams - Members of each team take turns and write as many school facilities as possible in minutes - Students cross check their answers first - Teacher confirms the answers and gives feedback The group having more correct answers is the winner Presentation (5’) * Aim: Enrich students’ vocabulary to talk about activities at school * Content: Vocabulary about school * Products: Read and understand the meaning of words Teacher’s and Content Ss’activities Pre teach vocabulary - Teacher use different techniques to teach vocab (pictures, situation, realia) - Follow the seven steps of teaching vacab - Repeat in chorus and individually * Vocabulary - well-known - gifted students - Copy all the words * Checking vocab: < Matching> Practice (28’) * Aims: -To help students use the words / phrases in Task to complete the sentences -To help students revise prepositions of time and place -To allow students to apply what they have learnt (vocabulary and grammar) into practice through a project * Content: -
