Unit 6: A VISIT TO A SCHOOL Lesson 3: A closer look I OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - use the lexical items related to the topic A visit to a school and the exercises in the text book - use the prepositions of time and prepositions of place: in, on, at - pronounce correctly the sounds /ɑː/ and /ʌ/ Knowledge: * Vocab: Christmas Day, finish, Teacher’s Day break time, water the flowers * Grammar: The simple present and past simple Competences: - Listening and reading to get information about the a visit to a school - Communication, self-learning capability, creative capacity, ability to use of language…… Qualities: - have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities - like the activities in the school and friends II TEACHING AIDS Teacher: Text books, pictures, planning, … - Grade textbook, Unit 6, A closer look - Smart TV/Pictures, sets of word cards - sachmem.vn Students: Text books, notebooks, posters, … III PROCEDURES: 1.Warm-up (5’) * Aim: - activate students’ knowledge on the topic of the unit - set the context for the listening and reading part * Content: A visit to a school (about school things) * Products: Ss write words exactly on the board Teacher’s and Ss’activities Content * Warm up: - Teacher divides the class into 2-3 groups * Warm up: and explains the game rules: - Teacher tells students what they must using prepositions of place, beginning with - Students listen to the rules of the game “Simon says” (E.g Simon says: put the pen in the pencil case;
