Week Period FUN TIME I Objectives: * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - say the words they have learnt with correct pronunciation - Trace and color with the correct pictures - imitate the upper case letters T and N and the lower case letters t and n, using body positions - Ss can develop some following competences + Communicative and collaborative competence:act 1,3,4 + Problem-solving competence: act 1,3 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, 3,4 + Problem-solving and creative competence act *Language focus: - Sound: T/N - Vocabulary: nut, noodles, banana,teddy bear, top, tiger, turtle - Differentiated teaching: + Incomplete ss: can pronounce the name of the letter O/M in the words nut, noodles, banana,teddy bear, top, tiger, turtle + Well-completed ss: can pronounce the name of the letter O/M in the words nut, noodles, banana,teddy bear, top, tiger, turtle while listening II Materials: -Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards,CD -Students’: books, crayons III Method: -Communicative Language Teaching -Total Physical Response -Natural Approach -3Ps III Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up -Let pupils play the game “Mystery bag” using the words they have learnt Activity 2: -Content Trace and colour Then say - Procedure: + Have Ss look at the pictures and explain what to Model with the first picture, if necessary + Ask Ss to trace the pictures and colour them individually + Have Ss work in pairs to compare their work and practise saying the words + Move around and correct their pronunciation, if necessary + Call some Ss to show their work, point to the pictures and say the words in front of the class + Repeat the same procedure with pictures 2, 3, and Give further support to those Ss who find it difficult to the task + Correct pronunciation, if necessary Activity 3: -Content 3:Match and say - Procedure: +Have Ss look at the words and the pictures Explain how to the activity + Draw their attention to the pictures + Model with one picture + Have pupils the activity individually Go around to offer help, if needed + Get Ss to check their answers in pairs Then ask some pairs to give their answers + Follow the same procedure with Questions 2, and Give further support to those Ss who find it difficult to the task + Call some Ss to show their work and say the words in front of the class Activity 4: -Content 4: Let’s play - Procedure: + Divide class into two groups + Ask Ss of two groups play game + Congratulate the winner  Consolidation: - Content: Review the letter P/K and words (pasta, popcorn,pizza, kite,bike and kitten) - Procedure: + Ask Ss to answer the following questions: What have you learnt from the lesson today? What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson) + Praise some Ss who are hard working/ active/ good… as well as encourage others to try more + Give feedback  Homework: - Learn by heart the words nut, noodles, banana,teddy bear, top, tiger, turtle ... and say the words in front of the class Activity 4: -Content 4: Let’s play - Procedure: + Divide class into two groups + Ask Ss of two groups play game + Congratulate the winner  Consolidation:...-Let pupils play the game “Mystery bag” using the words they have learnt Activity 2: -Content Trace and colour Then say
