God has a change of heart, seeing “by their actions” how the people turn from evil (Jonah 3:10) A new day dawns Next we hear Paul telling the Corinthians, “The world in its present form is passing away” (1 Corinthians 7:31) He calls for a change of heart Stopping short of telling them to stop carrying out their everyday activities, he urges them—rather mysteriously— to live “as though” they aren’t doing the things they are doing A new day has dawned Finally, Jesus stands on the shore and cries, “The kingdom of God is at hand!” (Mark 1:14) Simon and Andrew abandon their nets—and even their father—and follow Him A new day had dawned Everyone has to change when a new day dawns: the Ninevites, the Corinthians, the apostles, even Jesus! Jonah was a valuable man and a prophet, who, listening to the voice of God, went to preach in Nineveh His words were heard and changed the lives of its inhabitants; they corrected their mistakes Perhaps you might think that it was an impossible task in such a big city, but when things are done well, and with confidence, the goal is achieved, and thus Jonah fulfills God's purpose, which is to call for the conversion of this city which had fallen into sin and excessiveness What tasks we do, or think are impossible to do, in our homes? What is difficult for us to do? What is more difficult for us to talk about to the family? Maybe Jonah thought a lot about what to do, and how to it, but being available to the call made many of them change their lives for the better and improved the quality of life in the city of Nineveh, and that can happen to us and our families if we what God wants us to Fulfilling the will of God is something which must be in our hearts and lovingly accepted for the benefit of our fellow men (Jonah 3.1-5.10) God calls us to various tasks in life because He trusts and loves us Have we thought about why we are called to be husband and wife, or father or mother of a family? Dios tiene un cambio de corazón, al ver “sus obras” como la gente se aparta del mal (Jonás 3:10) Un nuevo amanecer Luego escuchamos a Pablo decir a los corintios: “Este mundo que vemos es pasajero” (1 Corintios 7:31) Pide un cambio de corazón Sin llegar a decir que no hagan sus actividades diarias, les insta, misteriosamente, a vivir “como si” no están haciendo las cosas que están haciendo Es un nuevo amanecer Finalmente, Jesús se encuentra en la orilla y clama: “El Reino de Dios ya está cerca” (Marcos 1:14) Simón y Andrés abandonan sus redes –e incluso a su padre– y lo siguen Es un nuevo amanecer Todo el mundo tiene que cambiar cuando amanece un nuevo día: los ninivitas, los corintios, los apóstoles, ¡hasta Jesús! ¿No es hoy un nuevo amanecer para nosotros también? En ocasiones pensamos mucho los acontecimientos de la vida, lo que nos pasa y sucede a nuestro alrededor, buscamos soluciones, miramos como nos afecta, a veces nos enojamos, algunas veces nos mostramos optimistas o frustrados Pero es verdad que las soluciones no solamente dependen de una persona, sino de la comunidad y la toma de conciencia y responsabilidades de cada uno, otras ocasiones de las funciones de los miembros de la familia, donde a veces tenemos alguien que piensa bien y es buen líder, siempre hay alguien valioso y cercano a nosotros, ¿Quién es valioso en la familia o en el circulo de familia o amigos? Jonás fue un hombre y profeta valioso que escuchando la voz de Dios fue a predicar a Nínive, sus palabras fueron escuchadas y cambió la vida de sus habitantes, corrigieron sus errores Quizá se podría pensar que era una tarea imposible en una ciudad tan grande, pero cuando se hacen las cosas bien hechas y confianza se logra el objetivo, y así Jonás cumple el propósito de Dios, que es llamar a la conversión de esta ciudad que había caído en pecado y en sus excesos Copyright © J S Paluch Co Fiesta De La Fe La parte más importante Muchas personas crecieron la mentalidad de que la consagración (la parte en la que el sacerdote dice “Este es mi cuerpo… Esta es mi sangre”) es la parte más importante de la misa Esto se debe no sólo a un profundo amor a la Eucaristía, sino a un hábito que se desarrolló en la Iglesia a partir del siglo XII cuando se dio más atención a las devociones eucarísticas que a la Eucaristía misma; cuando la gente comenzó a ver en la consagración el momento “milagroso” en el cual Dios bajaba del cielo a la tierra Esta fascinación el aspecto ‘mágico’ de la Eucaristía hizo que se viera en el momento de la consagración la parte “más importante de la misa” De ahí se derivó el hecho de que muchas personas procuraban participar sólo en este momento No es así La Eucaristía es importantísima toda ella y todo momento Hay un momento cumbre; no obstante, la plenitud de la Eucaristía es la comunión Dios y el prójimo Recibimos a Dios para recibir al hermano y hermana Recibimos al hermano y a la hermana para recibir a Dios y estar en comunión él ¿Qué tareas se hacen o pensamos son imposibles en nuestros hogares? ¿Que nos cuesta trabajo hacer? ¿De qué nos cuesta más hablar a la familia? Tal vez Jonás pensó mucho en qué hacer y cómo hacerlo, pero el ser disponible hizo que muchos para bien cambiaran su vida y mejoró la calidad de vida de la ciudad de Nínive, y eso puede pasar en nosotros y nuestras familias si hacemos lo que Dios quiere Cumplir la voluntad de Dios es algo que debe estar en nuestro corazón y amor aceptar en beneficio de nuestros semejantes (Jonás 3:1-5.10) Dios nos llama para hacer diferentes actividades en la vida porque confía en nosotros y nos ama ¿Hemos pensado porqué nos llamó a ser esposo o esposa, padre o madre de familia?
