Bac Giang is a province in the northeastern part of Vietnam, about 50 kilometers to the east of Hanoi. It covers an area of 3.827 square kilometers and has a population of about 1.6 million people.
The province was founded on 10 October 1895. The province centre was Phu Lang Thuong, which is now the city of Bac Giang.
