ISBN 1 74000 228 8 AMDT No. 1 DEC. 2002 Page 36 Clause 5.5.3.4 Delete Clause 5.5.3.4 and replace with the following: 5.5.3.4 Cable type 5.5.3.4.1 Cable installed underground shall be compliant, underground cable whether or not the cable is installed in conduit. 5.5.3.4.2 Underground cable installed after 1 January 2004 shall meet the requirements of AS/ACIF S008. 5.5.3.4.3 Blown-fibre tube systems installed underground shall— (a) be contiguous between access points; (b) have access points appropriately located or sealed to prevent the ingress of moisture; and (c) be appropriately installed or plugged when entering a building to prevent the passage of fluid or gas into the building from any pit or access hole.
