Notice that you can’t use though/ although/ even though with but .
_ Although I enjoyed my stay in the USA, I was still glad to come home.

We can use gerund and past participate clauses after though/ although and also clauses with
the subject and verb left out.
_ (Al)though not huge, the garden needs constant attention.
We can give special emphasis to an adjective by putting it before though in the pattern:
adj + though + noun/pronoun + verb.(usually a liking verb such as appear, be, become, feel,
look, seem, sound, prove, etc. ). As can be used instead of though, but notice that you can’t use
although.
_Hot though/ as the night air was, they slept soundly.
We can use While or Whilst with a meaning similar to “Although”. The While/ Whilst clause
comes before or within the main clause, but not after it.
_While/ Whilst(although) there is no evidence that Peter cheated, we were all astonished that
