khác là gắn kết là quan trọng Điều này có nghĩa là các ý hỗ trợ chi tiết phải bố trí cách rõ rang và hợp lý Bằng cách này đoạn văn trở nên mạch lạc để giúp người đọc dễ dàng hiểu ý người viết diễn đạt Rất cần thiết cho người viết phải suy nghĩ làm nào để tổ chức đoạn văn mà các ý gắn kết với Điều này phụ thuộc vào chủ đề viết, đoạn văn có thể xếp các ý phát triển theo trật từ thời gian (time order), không gian (space order) thứ tự quan trọng cao trào (order of importance/ climax) Ví dụ: Đoạn văn đây tổ chức theo trình tự không gian (the organization is by space) When you drive into the (Pre-writing) Trước viết gồm ba bước nhỏ: Động não (Brainstorming), chỉnh sửa (Editing), và viết nháp (Outlining) 1.1 Động não (Brainstorming) Động não là cách thu thập ý tưởng chủ đề Có nhiều cách để có thể có ý tưởng cho chủ đề cụ thể Tuy nhiên, các thu thập ý phổ biến là: liệt kê, viết tự và lập sơ đồ… Liệt kê là cách thông dụng vì:  Tập trung vào chủ đề và suy nghĩ các từ khóa  Viết ý tưởng nghĩ đến  Không lo lắng việc liệu ý tưởng này có liên quan hay không  Bỏ qua việc sử dụng sai ngữ pháp và việc viết sai chính tả → Mục tiêu liệt kê là thu thập càng nhiều ý tưởng càng tốt 1.2 Chọn lọc ý (Electing) - Chọn ý tưởng: chọn ý hay và có liên quan đến chủ đề - Thêm thông tin hay ý tưởng cần thiết 1.3 Lập dàn ý (Making an outline) Một dàn ý là danh sách các thông tin mà chúng ta sử dụng đoạn văn Một dàn ý nên:  Bắt đầu với câu chủ đề  Hiển thị cấu trúc đoạn văn  Kết thúc câu kết luận Một dàn ý có vai trò quan trọng việc tạo nên thành công cho đoạn văn, vì nó giúp:  Hiện thị gì cần viết trước bắt đầu viết thực  Làm cho đoạn văn tổ chức tốt, đầy đủ và trình bày rõ rang  Bao gồm tất các ý quan trọng mà không ý nào 1.4 Thực hành Chủ đề 1: “Should we charity work?” Câu trả lời: Có (Yes) Phần trước viết, chúng ta có thể thực sau:  Động não (Brainstorming): Liệt kê các ý mà chúng ta nghĩ đến việc làm công tác từ thiện (charity work - help other people - - help the poor + from various problems Trong viết (While- writing) Sau học sinh có dàn ý đầy đủ cho đoạn văn, chúng có thể bắt đầu viết bài Học sinh có thể điều này trên lớp nhà viết thành bài hoàn chỉnh Để bắt đầu viết bài, giáo viên nên khuyến khích học sinh:  Tìm hiểu làm nào để viết câu chủ đề tốt, câu kết luận tốt  Viết phần đoạn văn riêng lẻ trước, sau đó viết toàn đoạn văn  Khi có kỹ viết câu chủ đề, câu kết luận và làm đề cương, học sinh nên tìm hiểu làm nào để phát triển câu hỗ trợ Điều này là quan trọng vì các câu hỗ trợ phải đảm bảo thống và liên kết chặt chẽ với  Khi viết bài, học sinh chú ý cấu trúc câu, từ vựng hợp với chủ đề, sử dụng đúng các từ nối nối các ý phát triển Đặc biệt, học sinh phải chú ý thời gian cho phép viết bài tránh trường hợp thiếu thời gian, viết không đủ bố cục đoạn
