(1)Week Period 5: UNIT GREETINGS I Aims: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: greet at different times of the day; introduce oneself; trace and write letters C/c and D/d; say and recognize sound c and d - Develop listening, speaking, … skills II Teaching methods: - Communicative approach - Techniques: + Ask and answer (say individually) + Work in pairs/ groups + Discuss III Teaching aids: - Teacher’s aids: student’s and teacher’s books, word cards, pictures, CD, puppets, … - Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks IV Languages focus: - Phonics: c/d - Vocabulary: Good morning/ Good afternoon/ Good evening/ Good night! V Procedures: (2) Stages Greeting: Teacher’s activities Students’activities - T greets: Good morning, everybody! - Ss say greetings - Then T asks Ss whether they know - Ss guess and then answer what the teacher has said (Cô: Chào?!) - Ss listen, and may ask any - T tells them to know about some ways questions of greeting in different times … ( in the morning, in the affternoon ,…) Introduction: Introduction: - Teach some sentences of greeting and - Learn some sentences of the usage of them greeting and the usage of ( T suggests Ss to tell about Good them morning, … Then T writes those words on the board: Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night) (T reads times, Ss repeat Then T asks Ss to read in individual) + If we meet together in the morning, we say the following sentences: + Ss listen and repeat the sentences (in chorus, in individual) Teacher: Good morning Students: … Teacher: … Students: … + If we meet together in the afternoon , we can say: Teacher:Good afternoon!
