(1)Week: 29 Period: 85 Date of preparation: 19/ 03/ 2012 Date of teaching: 21/ 03/ 2012 UNIT 13: FESTIVALS LESSON 2: SPEAK I OBJECTIVES: Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to practice talking about preparations for Tet II PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette tape III PROCEDURES: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities (2) Warm – Up: (5’) - Ask students to think of things they often to prepare for Tet and write them down on a piece of paper Pre – Speaking: (8’) - Have students copy down some things they often to prepare for Tet - decorate the house - clean the house - pain the house - clean the yard - buy cakes, candies, drinks, food, fruits, … - cook / make cakes - buy new dress … - write and send New Year cards to friends/ relatives … - Ask students to read the dialogue and put the sentences in the correct order AF,BG,CH,DJ,EI While – Speaking: (15’) - Ask students to practice the dialogue in pairs - Call some students to practice the dialogue - Ask students to choose one of the festivals on the page 123, and make up their own dialogue - Call some pairs to demonstrate their dialogues Mrs Quyen Lan A: Yes/ where/ going? you/tidied/bedroom?
