Teacher Students

- Give the game of “Network” to write the work of farmers

2 Pre reading (10 minutes) - Ask some questions:

+ Have you ever helped someone work on a farm?

+ What did you do?

- Today you will learn about the life on a farm in the USA by reading comprehension the text about Van He is an exchange student in the USA from Ho Chi Minh City.

- Answer T’s questions

- Listen to the teacher’s introductions

- Introducing the new words and explaining more about the meaning of “exchange student” in Vietnamese so that Ss can understand easily

- Guide Ss to read the new words - Give some guiding questions:

+ How many people are there in the Parker family? Who are they?

+ What does Mr Parker grow on his farm? + What does Van after completing his

- Ask Ss to listen to the tape then answer T’s questions:

- Chatting about the picnic

1 Have you ever gone on a picnic? Where you often go on a picnic? How you get there?

4 Do you enjoy your picnic?

5 Do you want to tell about your picnic? - Today you will write a short passage about your picnic you and your friends went on in the country.

- Speak about the recently picnic

2 Pre writing (12 minutes)

- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and the information given

- Ask some questions:

1 How did you and your friends go on a picnic?

- Look at the pictures and the words and phrases given below each below

- Answer T’s questions: Where did you have a picnic?

3 What did you take on a trip?

- Pre – teach new words: explanation

- Set the scene: As we know, narrative writing is familiar in English Today we’ll practice this kind of writing Have you ever gone a picnic? When? Where? How did you get there? What did you do? - Get students to stick their writings on the board and correct, give marks

- Give Ss a questionnaire to ask answer to retell their own picnic

- Stick the writing on the board - Answer T’s questions

5 Homework (3 minutes)

 Write down the writing in the notebooks
