4 Từ loại:
* Danh từ: Danh từ từ nhóm từ dùng để người (Lan, Hoa ), vật (chair, dog…), nơi chốn (Việt Nam, Singapore…)…
Ex: Hoa is a student (Hoa học sinh) (Hoa a student danh từ)
* Tính từ: Tính từ từ tính chất người(tall, beautiful ), vật (long, new…)hoặc việc biểu thị danh từ đại từ
Ex: This is my new shirt (đây áo tơi) (new tính từ)
* Động từ: Động từ từ cụm từ dùng để diễn tả hành động trạng thái. + to be (am/is/are):
Ex1: My mom is a nurse (Mẹ y tá) (is động từ to be) + Động từ thường
Ex2: My monitor studies hard (Lớp trưởng học chăm chỉ) (studies động từ) * Trạng từ: Trạng từ từ cung cấp thêm thơng tin nơi chốn,thời gian, cách thức,hồn cảnh,ngun nhân, mức độ…cho động từ,một tính từ,hoặc trạng từ khác
Ex: He often drives carefully (Anh thường lái xe cẩn thận) (often carefully trạng từ) * Giới từ: Giới từ từ nhóm từ thường dùng trước danh từ đại từ để liên hệ danh từ đại từ với thành phần khác câu
