UNIT 6: GO SHOPPING Lesson 4: Use it!

I.Aim of the lesson:

-By the end of the lesson, ss can count to eight, ask and answer bout their ages

II.Language focus:

-Grammar: How old are you? I’m

III.Materials: CD, picture cards, clothing cards

IV.Skills: listening and speaking

V.Procedure:

Warm-up (5mins)

-Greetings and sing the Hello song -Review clothes and then the Clothing Chant Have ss mime the actions

Presentation (10mins)

-Hold up number 1-4 cards have ss read aloud Introduce the numbers 5-8 Hold each number card, read first and let ss repeat

-Call each child to stand up and read again

-Ask ss to open the book

-Ask ss look at page and try to guess what the monsters are saying to each other

-Play the Chant again.Have ss call out their number with the tape as they wave their hands

*Play another game: Let’s count!

-Hold up the clothing cards and some objects ( crayons, books,…) Have ss count together

-Check up their mind by asking: How many T-shirts/shorts/books… are there?
