- Vocabulary: The name of the characters ( kate, Jenny, John, Scott, Lisa, Andy ) - Grammar: Ask and answer the name: What’s your name? My name is ( John) B/ Aids:

1.Warm up and review:

Presentation:

a Review the question and answer

pattern.

b.Combine the greeting with the question and answer pattern.

- Call a S to model with T the dialogue ( use the real name)

T: Hello, my name is Thuy S: Hi! My name is ( Hoa )

c.Introduce the characters’ names.

- Help Ss find Andy, Kate, John

- Introduce the characters: Jenny, Scott, Lisa by pointing to them and saying the names

- Substitution Drill.

- Group work with Ss, each group chooses a S to hello other groups - Ss stand in lines to practise the question and answer pattern

S1: What’s your name?

S2: My name is ( Kate ) What’s your name?

S1: My name is ( John )

- Pair work

- Ss to go to the board to find the characters and say the names

- T: Hello My name is Kate.( point to kate)

3.Practice:

- T opens book to page

- explain the picture and the song - Open the CD “The Hello Song” Hello, hello, hello!

What’s your name? Hello, hello, hello! My name is John My name is John Hello, John!

- T sings this song but no t open CD( gestures)

- Practice: 4.Production:

- Ss open their book to page

- Ss both listen and look at the characters - Ss listen the song and point to the characters

- Ss read the word of the song when turning off CD

- Ss repeat

- Open CD, Ss sing all song

- Practise singing following groups - Ss sing the real names

- groups sing
