II-CHECK- UP: No III- NEW LESSON: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1. WARM- UP: (5ms) Brainstorming - Ask Ss to give words that are related to the sea and write into a small paper - Call on some Ss to write on the blackboard Fish shark UNDER dolphin SEA whale Seal Starfish 2. PRE-READING: (15ms) Activity 1: Names of the oceans on the map - Ask Ss to look at the map carefully and give the Vietnamese names for the oceans on the map - Ask Ss to work in groups of five - Ss work in groups of six and write the words related to the sea and write into a small paper - Write them on the board - Work in group again and write the names of the oceans on the map - The winner is the group who finds the correct answers in the shortest period of time - Rub out and remember Activity 2: Names of sea animals - Ask Ss to give the Vietnamese names of the animals in the pictures - Then T asks Ss for the English names of these animals -If Ss don’t know them in English , T should provide them - Play the tape while having Ss listen.
