By the end of this Unit, students can remember and use what they have learnt during the unit to help them to each exercise so that Ss can use that information to complete the self- assessment box at the end of the unit

2 Presentation: (10mins) - Ask Ss to answer

Guess what the picture might show or what the conversation might be about Ex:

- Then ask them to look at the picture and answer what it shows or what Duong and Mai might might talk about

3 Practice: (20mins)

-Let Ss work independently to answer the questions

-Then, T ask them to discuss in groups (they may refer to the conversation) -T checks their answer and gives explanations if necessary

-Ask Ss to to find the phrases in the conversation

-Practice saying them together (play the recording again if necessary) Explain the meanings (or give

By the end of this lesson, students can pronounce correctly the sounds /eə/ and /iə/in isolation and in context; use vocabulary and structures about the topic “Sports and Games”

1 Vocabulary: the lexical items related to the topic “Sports and Games”. 2 Structures: Go, play, + N/V-ing

2 Skills: reading, speaking, listening, writing. 3 Attitudes and competencies:

- Ss are interested in sports and games
