Recently I've read a book "The Sea Wolf" by Jack London It's a novel The story is set on a sealer owned by a cruel and strong captain Wolf Larsen with two other characters, Van Weyden, a literature researcher and a woman writer Maud Brewster Through the whole story, it can be said the true love and charity can defeat the cruelty In a word; the true love always wins This book is a very interesting novel which evokes in our depth a human feeling about the strength of love

I am going to talk about a book that l’ve read recently It is a Vietnamese coming-of-age novel called “Mắt Biếc”, which can be literally translated into Vietnamese as “Blue Eyes” The novel revolves around an unrequited love story between Ngạn, a country boy, and Hà Lan, his neighbor, childhood friend and lifelong crush
Ngạn and Hà Lan grow up together in a remote village in the Central region of Vietnam Ngạn develops a strong love, which later becomes obsession, towards Hà Lan, the girl whose eyes he adores since the very first time they meet Although they spend their childhood and adolescence together, they later lead a very different life during their adulthood While Ngạn still cherishes the slow-paced life of his village, Hà Lan fails to resist the allure and glamour of the city life
She ends up falling in love with a playboy named Dũng, has a baby with him and leaves the child under the protection of her grandmom and, guess what, his lifelong crush Ngạn Ngạn raises her daughter like his own child just to realise at the end of the story that he is just trying to create another version of his beloved Hà Lan
I really love this novel since I can see parts of younger self in it The author’s depiction of the 1990’s Vietnamese life is just brilliant The movie adapted from the book is going to be released this December

“Everything, everything” is one of the best books I’ve ever read It is written by the famous American author, Nicola Yoon The book has a quite portable size so I can easily bring it with me The cover of book is blue, looks pretty eye-catching This is the New York Times No bestseller and was adapted into a movie At the first time reading, I was very impressed with the way story telling The story revolves around the life of the poor Maddy Since childhood, she was diagnosed with a serious disease and had to live away from the world around Her life repeated every day, so boringly but then one day, Olly appeared, he was such a light that brightened life of Maddy She was no longer alone, every day seemed an interesting gift, from the brief chat to the non-verbal gestures through the window Naturally, Maddy had broken the limits of herself, stepped out of the bubble house, which had long restricted her to pursue her own passion and freedom The book engages me in a non-stop adventure with many emotions, sometimes is happy and sometimes is sad In the end, it turned out Maddy was not sick, but the obsession with the death of her father and brother had caused her mother to cover her so much Through every page, I come up with a lot of interesting things, that maternal love is very great, but sometimes also blind, and if we have a dream, not be afraid to pursue, let live for true meaning, not simply existent To me, ‘Everything, everything’ is very interesting and meaningful, full of humanity Especially, it has changed me a lot, from a shy girl to become more confident, dare pursue my passion
