I Objective:

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to consolidate the sound of the letter Aa, Bb, Cc and Dd and the coresponding words

- Learn and practise reading skills and sing a song Vocabulary: review

- Listening, speaking, reading, writing 3 Attitude:

- Encourage Ss to consolidate the sound of the letter Aa, Bb, Cc and Dd and the coresponding words

II Teaching aids:

- Book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant III Method:

- Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work,group work - Some techniques can be used: Bingo

Activity: How’s your memory?

- T write the words that Ss learnt so far on the board Give Ss minutes to remember the words Then erase them

- T divide the class into small teams

- T ask Ss to write down the words in minutes - Then T put teams’ lists up the board

- T monitor and corect their mistakes 3 New lesson

Activity Write the beginning letter (5’) - T ask Ss to name the items, the letters and the sounds

- T ask Ss to write the beginning letter (upper case) that corresponds to each picture

Activity Draw (5’)

- T ask Ss to to the upper and lower case letters in the grid as well as the sentences below it

- T ask Ss where it should go Click on box Cc to move the ball

- T ask Ss to draw the ball in box Cc - T ask Ss to read the other sentences and draw the objects in the boxes

Activity: Bingo (7’)

- T write the words that Ss have learnt in the units on the board

- T ask Ssto choose any five and copy them in their notebooks (make sure they haven’t all chosen the same five words) - T call out one word after another and point to it on the board (Any students who has that word can cross it off The winner is the first student who crosses out all their words and shouts BINGO!)

- The student does some actions for the rest of the class to guess what it is

- The first student to guess the object correctly comes to the front of the class to actions for the next pictures
