- Set the scence: Mrs Vuiwants to buy some things for cooking She is talking with the storekeeper.
- T- WC; H-H; open pairs
- Rub out the words while ss practice speaking. - Ask some students to fill in the gaps.
- Check the words in the gaps. Picture Cue Drill (A1b on page 115)
- Run through all picture cues - T models => sts repeat - Teacher – Whole class - Open pairs => Close pairs E.g

- Prepares 16 cards with numbers on one side, the verbs on the other and makes sure the verbs are mixed
- Divides students into two teams and asks them to choose two numbers
- Turns the cards over and see if they match" a dozen - eggs", gives them one mark If not, turns the cards over again and asks the next team
