Sue định tổ chức buổi tiệc Chúng dự định mời nhiều người
đến dự
Chúng ta sử dụng (be) going to định làm điều Helen định mời nhiều người tới dự bữa tiệc trước nói với Dave Bạn so sánh ví dụ sau để phân biệt Tương lai gần (going to) tương lai đơn (will):

Chẳng hạn bạn nói:
- I think the weather will be nice later
- I think the weather is going to be nice later Tôi nghĩ thời tiết tới tốt
Khi nói việc xảy (something is going to happen), biết hay nghĩ tới điều dựa vào tình Ví dụ:
(3)(KHƠNG nói 'It will rain' — we can see the clouds now) Hãy nhìn đám mây đen Trời mưa (Chúng ta nhìn thấy đám mây vào lúc này) - I feel terrible I think I'm going to be sick
(KHƠNG nói "I think I'll be sick" — I feel terrible now) Tôi cảm thấy khó chịu Tơi nghĩ tơi bị ốm

Với trường hợp trên, bạn KHÔNG sử dụng will. Trong trường hợp khác, sử dụng will - Tom will probably arrive at about o'clock
